What To Expect
There are two basic types of appointments.
Initial Appointment
For New Patients
This is a consult and treatment for new patients. It it includes your medical history and a discussion of your health concerns. Please come to the appointment with your new patient paperwork filled out. This can be cone either online through the patient portal or by printing up the forms available on our website. Please allow 90 minutes for this appointment. After this appointment you will be considered an established patient.
Follow Up Appointment
For Established Patients
This is a 60 minute appointment for an established patient. We will discuss how you are feeling, changes in your health and then you will receive a treatment.
Treatment
Traditional Chinese Medicine includes more than just acupuncture. There are many modalities within our scope of practice. We can use acupuncture, different needling techniques, cupping, herbal formulas, electrical stimulation, Tuina (a type of massage) and Medical Qi Gong. Your practitioner will decide which modalities are appropriate based on your history and symptoms.
